For a town with such a fantastic collection of historic photographs, a town located in such beautiful countryside, a town filled with so many photogenic corners, it is extraordinary that there was no group established to focus on photography. With this in mind Janet Beech, retired teacher, part-time well dresser and Festival Committee member, decided to try and create a group out of nothing more than her own immense enthusiasm for photography and the help of a few friends who shared that enthusiasm.

We hold meetings generally monthly. For a regular email advising

After a summer of successful monthly photo walks, we are hoping
that you would like to join us in our next project. Four talks
through the winter will cover the basic elements of the total
photographic workflow from planning a shoot, through taking
and processing, to reproducing an image. The talks will give
both the how and the why of the photographic essentials, providing
practical advice and hands-on experience. The talks are for
anybody who wants develop their camera skills and confidence.
