takes place this year on Sunday,
September 11th, and, once more, you can get a bus to the

The iconic and eye-catching London red double-decker
Routemaster 467, owned by Peter Nash of Macclesfield, will once more be providing
a free “Park and Ride” service between the Springwood Park pub
restaurant car park (cars parked at own risk) and Bollington
Turners Arms, for ease of access.
BOLLINGTON
TRANSPORT EXTRAVAGANZA and Family Fun Day on 11th September
2011 at Adelphi Mill and Clough Bank is one of the largest annual
events in Bollington providing a fun and varied day out for all
the family whilst raising funds for worthwhile causes in the area.
The Extravaganza, which is in its 12th successive year, is being
organised by Macclesfield Freemasons on behalf of Bollington
Town Council which fully supports this event.
Although focussing on an exhibition of classic transportation
of various types from classic cars, vintage vehicles, buses, lorries,
traction engines, motor bikes and the Mary
Sunley Canal Boat
trips,
there is a wealth of entertainment including a fantastic funfair,
Majestic Owls and children’s entertainment.
Canalside Community Radio have organised a full
day of entertainment with seven different acts and shows from their
broadcast unit parked on Clough Bank.
The Vale
Inn
and Bollington
Brewing Company
will
be running the beer tent alongside Lions Ladies Barbeque and
other refreshment stands.

The Extravaganza and Fun Day is being held on at Adelphi
Mill and Clough Bank, Grimshaw Lane, Bollington,
from 11am to 5pm and refreshments, including a barbecue
and a licensed bar, will be available throughout the day.
Family tickets cost £7.50 (family of 4); £3 adults and £1.50
for children.
