Bollington Civic Society maintains a collection of thousands of photographs of the town and its people dating back to the 1860s. We are always looking for photographs of the town, especially historic pictures showing buildings and other things of interest that may no longer be there or have been altered. If you have any or know the whereabouts of any pictures that could be of interest (and most are) then please contact Fiona Swailes, the curator of the collection. We will copy your pictures and return the originals to you if you wish.

Copies of pictures are available to the public on request for £10 each (approx 8"x10").

We operate on a "drop-in" basis so that members can come and go at any time during the morning, and we would be delighted to welcome new members, whether beginners or the more experienced family historian. Please check our web siteExternal link to confirm the date and location of our next meeting.

For those researching the history of Bollington families, don't forget to visit the Discovery Centre where you will find the picture database available on PCs - ideal for finding pictures and information about those from the past!
