Introduction:
Right on the official boundary of Bollington (the farm across the road is in Rainow), this handsome stone building, adorned in summer with luxuriant window boxes and hanging baskets, houses a friendly and cosy pub. The staff are chatty and cheerful. A free house with an entry in the Good Beer Guide.

Brews:
They carry three regular bitters - Copper Dragon and Timothy Taylor Landlord on cask, with Boddingtons on gas, and have two or three additional guest cask beers on at all times acquired from right across the country. Awarded Cask Marque status. Lagers - Stella Artois, Beck's Vier and Castlemaine XXXX. Strongbow cider, Guinness.
Food:
One of the best tables in the area. Everything cooked on the premises. A blackboard offers special dishes. Crisp fresh vegetables. Bar snacks copious and always freshly prepared. Wine list modest but sound. Book for peak periods.
Regular special events featuring favourite menus and dishes - Thai evening, Indian evening, Quiz night.

Pleasant rear garden, access through the bar with smoker's shelter. Barbecues in summer weather permitting. Ample car park across the lane.

At the north east end of town, from the bus turn round outside the New Con Club (late Turners Arms), go up Ingersley Road; at the end on the right.
