We received many wonderful poems for this competition. The winner (left) is a poem called Reduce, Reuse and Recycle by Rachel Hurd from Year 6 at Dean Valley Primary School.
We have two Highly Commended entries, Gastly Bollington by Rose Cahill from Class 4 at Bollington Cross Primary School (below left), and Climate Change Rap by Lydia McClusky from Year 6 at Dean Valley Primary School (below right).

It was certainly difficult to choose a winner from the excellent entries we received! In the end the winning entry (left) was Wind Turbines by Daniel Grout from Year 3 at Bollington Cross Primary School.
Our Highly Commended entries are Reduce Your Carbon Footprint by Billy Bloor of Year 3 at Dean Valley Primary School (below left) and Recycle Retriever by Caitlin Cahill from Year 3 at Bollington Cross Primary School.

Creative Writing Awards

We decided to give special Creative Writing Awards to recognise the excellence of two entries. Venus Bollington! was written by Sam Swindon from Class 4 at Bollington Cross Primary School (left) and Hell in Bollington was written by Kate Hall from Year 5 at Bollington Cross Primary School (below left).
