The parents' association maintains close relations with the school and its teaching staff. The Ruby Anniversary in 2008 provides an oportunity to celebrate the past 40 years of achievement at the school and to look forward to the next forty years with hope.

Saturday 18 October 2008 – St John’s Ruby Anniversary Party – celebrating the first 40 years of the school at Grimshaw Lane:
Part(y) One 4-6pm: Come and look at photos from the last 40 years, and some of the old school, even earlier. Cream tea and open afternoon with free entrance for all friends of the school including current and former pupils, staff, governors, parents and grandparents. Anyone with memories or memorabilia to share BEFORE the 18th should phone 01625−261895 or email as soon as possible.
