Mostly semi-detached houses, stoutly built in brick before WWII. The street is lined with low trees on the grass verge. Many properties on the east side back onto the open ground surrounding St John’s primary school. About a quarter of the street is a cul de sac.

Approach off Grimshaw Lane, from Hurst Lane via Highfield Road and Birchway, or from Hurst Lane via Ward Avenue.

Leads to Birchway, Ward Avenue.
