Panoramic view from White Nancy

Picture copyright 2001 Roger Fielding

To the left we look south-west with Mow Cop just showing on the extreme left far horizon. The buildings belong to Macclesfield, the bigger ones are AstraZenenca at Hurdsfield.

On the horizon is Alderley Edge with Bollington's Southwest Avenue estate below. The big building is Adelphi Mill and Lowerhouse Mill is to its right.

Houses on Hurst Lane and at Kerridge. Winter Hill, Bolton, on the horizon 32 miles away with
Woodford airfield below.

Manchester airport is the light dots on the horizon at the left of the sector.

Old Bollington, the large white building is the Tullis Russell paper coating mill. St. John's church on Church Street with the Nab hill beyond and Manchester city centre to its left. Clarence Mill is to the left of this sector. Pott Shrigley is to the right of the Nab. Looking north.

Bakestonedale hill which is full of 200 year old bell pits.

Billinge Hill (up Blaze Hill)

... and finally to White Nancy which has been refurbished since the picture was taken. Looking south-east.

The picture is composed of 5 or 6 ordinary pictures merged together.
